Area360 school profile for Loxford School with Ofsted rating, map of nearby schools and national ranking

Area360 now has a profile page for every school in England, with the Ofsted rating, national ranking, exam results, admissions, pupils and staff in one place.

Find a school

Switch the search on the Area360 home page to School and type a school name or postcode. To compare schools across London, see the best primary schools in London and the best secondary schools in London.

Schools map

The map shows nearby schools coloured by rating. Zoom in to see each school’s age range inside the dot, and use the filter to show only nursery, primary, secondary or independent schools. Click a school to open its profile.

Ofsted rating

The badge at the top shows the school’s Ofsted rating. For schools inspected under Ofsted’s new report cards, which have no overall grade, Area360 calculates one from the individual grades. See the methodology.

National ranking

Each school is ranked against all schools in England for every stage it teaches:

  • Key stage 2 (SATs): pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths
  • GCSE: Attainment 8 score
  • A-level: average points per entry

Each rank shows the position, the number of schools compared and a plain summary such as “Better than 95% of schools in England”.

Results, admissions and more

Below the ranking, the profile lists the latest figures published by the Department for Education:

  • SATs, GCSE and A-level results compared with the local authority and England averages
  • Inspection details and school facts: type, age range, trust, head teacher and website
  • Pupils, school places and how full the school is, plus class sizes and pupil ethnicity
  • Teachers and staff, pupils per teacher and teacher turnover
  • Applications and offers, attendance, suspensions, and where pupils go after GCSEs and A-levels

Each figure shows its academic year and source. Results are coloured green, grey or red against the England average, so strong and weak areas stand out quickly.
