Anderston/City/Yorkhill is a central ward on the north bank of the River Clyde, encompassing the financial district and former docklands. The area includes the Scottish Event Campus and the modern residential developments of the Kingston and Tradeston bridges. Its street grid reflects its history as a planned 18th-century village, now integrated into the city centre's western edge.
The ward is home to the Glasgow Tower at the Science Centre and the SSE Hydro arena. A large section of the Clyde Walkway passes through, connecting riverside paths. The district contains several major transport interchanges, including the M8 motorway, and is a key location for business, education, and large-scale entertainment venues.
