Bo'ness and Blackness

Bo'ness and Blackness ward sits along the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, encompassing the historic town of Bo'ness and the coastal village of Blackness. The area includes significant industrial heritage, such as the preserved Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway. Its landscape features waterfront areas and the grounds of the 15th-century Blackness Castle, a prominent fortress jutting into the firth. The ward contains residential communities, local retail areas, and stretches of coastline with views across the water.

The ward is home to the annual Bo'ness Hill Climb, a historic motor sport event held on public roads. The Kinneil Estate, with its museum and nature trails, provides green space near the town centre. Economic activity includes local services and some light industry. The geography is defined by its position on the Forth, with the Antonine Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site, running through the southern part of the ward, marking the northern frontier of the Roman Empire.
