The Forth and Endrick ward covers a largely rural expanse in the western part of the Stirling council area. It is characterised by agricultural land, rolling hills, and the river valleys of the Forth and Endrick from which it takes its name. The area includes several villages such as Killearn, Drymen, and Fintry, which serve as local hubs. Loch Lomond forms part of the ward's western boundary, though the major settlements on its shores lie outside this specific administrative area.
Land use is dominated by farming and forestry, with a landscape that includes the Campsie Fells to the south. The Flanders Moss, one of the largest remaining lowland raised bogs in Britain, is a significant natural feature within the ward. This is a sparsely populated region where community life centres on the smaller villages, and the economy is closely linked to the land and related tourism.
