Fraserburgh and District ward covers a stretch of Aberdeenshire's North Sea coastline, centred on the town of Fraserburgh. The area is dominated by its major fishing port, one of the largest in the United Kingdom, with harbour activity central to the local economy. The ward includes several smaller coastal settlements like Rosehearty and Sandhaven. A notable landmark is Kinnaird Head, where a historic lighthouse is integrated into a former castle, now home to the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses. The local landscape is largely low-lying, with the land used primarily for agriculture and livestock, while the coastal fringe remains focused on maritime industries and related processing.
