Gamston

Gamston ward lies on the eastern edge of the Rushcliffe borough, bordering the River Trent. The area encompasses the residential neighbourhood of Gamston itself, characterised by modern housing developments and local amenities. It includes the Gamston Lings estate and extends to the surrounding rural fringe, incorporating farmland and the grounds of the former Gamston Hall. The ward is connected to West Bridgford and Nottingham by the A52, a major arterial route.

A notable landmark within the ward is the Gamston Airport, a general aviation airfield with a long history. The area also contains the Gamston Lock on the Grantham Canal, a restored waterway. Land use is a mix of suburban housing and open agricultural land, with several small businesses and retail parks located near the key road junctions. The ward's boundary is partly defined by the course of the River Trent to the north.
