Horsenden

Horsenden sits in the western part of the London Borough of Ealing and takes its identity from Horsenden Hill and the surrounding residential streets. The area contains a mix of housing, small local shops along Horsenden Lane and a primary school, with bus routes linking to nearby town centres. People use the lanes and footpaths for daily walking and commuting; there are allotments and small green spaces tucked between streets that serve local residents and community groups.

At the centre of the area, Horsenden Hill is managed as a Local Nature Reserve and provides the main open space for recreation. The summit reaches about 85 metres above sea level, making it one of the higher points in the borough and giving clear sightlines from the ridge. Paths and bridleways circle the hill and cross patches of grassland, scrub and pockets of woodland, while benches and waymarks guide walkers. Seasonal bird and wildflower records are kept by local volunteers, and the hill is used year-round for short circular walks and dog exercise.
