Allestree North

Allestree North is the northern part of the Allestree suburb on the edge of Derby. The area is mainly residential, with a mix of housing types and a handful of local shops and cafés for everyday needs. Paths and quiet streets link directly to Allestree Park, whose lake and surrounding woodland form the main green space for the neighbourhood. The park’s waters attract ducks and other waterfowl through the year, and the lines of public footpaths make the park a focal point for walking and cycling.

Because the park sits so close to the housing, many routes from Allestree North run straight into open space, and the Markeaton Brook corridor is a frequent route for local walkers and wildlife watchers.
