Anchorsholme

Anchorsholme occupies the northernmost section of Blackpool's urban area, bordering the Irish Sea to the west and the open countryside of Lancashire to the north and east. The ward is primarily residential, characterised by a mix of interwar and post-war housing estates, alongside some modern developments. Its western boundary is defined by the coastal promenade, which provides direct access to a stretch of beach.

A notable local feature is the Anchorsholme Park, which includes formal gardens, sports facilities, and a large lake. The area is served by local shopping parades along Warbreck Drive and Anchorsholme Lane, catering to daily needs. The ward's layout is orderly, with a network of roads leading inland from the coast, gradually giving way to more open, green spaces on its eastern fringes near the boundary with Cleveleys.
