The shoreline here includes Bembridge Point and the rocky Bembridge Ledge, a long reef that reaches into the Solent and shapes local tides and navigation. The village contains an old windmill on higher ground and a mix of marine, farming and residential land uses. Nettlestone lies immediately inland and is linked to Bembridge by lanes and footpaths; the two form the Nettlestone and Seaview parish.
