Blisworth, Roade and Yardley Gobion occupy a stretch of West Northamptonshire shaped by transport routes and farmland. Blisworth sits alongside the Grand Union Canal; the canal passes through the village via Blisworth Tunnel, which runs beneath the settlement and remains one of the longer canal tunnels on the network, its line marked on the surface by shafts and stonework.
