Bowthorpe & West Earlham

Bowthorpe and West Earlham form a residential area on the western edge of Norwich. The layout is largely characterised by post-war housing estates, with a mix of semi-detached homes, terraces, and some modern developments. The area is served by several local shopping parades providing essential amenities, with the larger retail and business park at Bowthorpe Industrial Estate offering employment and services.

A significant portion of the area is defined by the Earlham Cemetery, one of the largest municipal cemeteries in the country, which provides extensive green space and quiet pathways. To the north, the open fields and woodlands of the University of East Anglia's broad campus create a distinct boundary, separating it from the city's central neighbourhoods.
