Bredbury & Woodley

Bredbury & Woodley is a residential ward in the eastern part of Stockport, bordered by the River Tame and the Peak Forest Canal. The area consists primarily of housing estates, local shopping precincts, and industrial parks, with a significant amount of green space provided by several parks and playing fields. The landscape is characterised by gentle slopes and valleys typical of this part of Greater Manchester.

A notable local landmark is the Bredbury Steelworks, a long-standing industrial presence visible from many parts of the area. The ward is well-connected by road, with the M60 motorway skirting its northern edge. The Peak Forest Canal, which runs through the area, is used for leisure and forms part of a local walking route, contributing to the ward's mix of residential and industrial character.
