Brizes, Stondon Massey & South Weald

The Brizes, Stondon Massey & South Weald ward encompasses a large, predominantly rural area on the eastern edge of Brentwood. It is characterised by extensive green belt land, farmland, and scattered residential settlements. The landscape includes the historic grounds of Weald Country Park, a large former deer park with woodland and open spaces. The ward contains the villages of Stondon Massey and South Weald, along with the more dispersed hamlet of Brizes.

This area is defined by its agricultural character and historic estates, with a number of listed buildings and conservation areas. The Church of St Peter and St Paul in South Weald dates to the 12th century. Local geography features the rolling terrain of the Weald Clay belt, which supports the ward's pastoral and woodland scenery. Residential development is largely contained within the existing village frameworks, preserving the overall rural atmosphere.
