Brooklands

Brooklands ward lies in the northwestern part of the Trafford borough, centred around the suburb of Sale. The area is primarily residential, characterised by a mix of interwar and post-war housing, with many quiet, tree-lined streets. It is bordered by the Bridgewater Canal to the north, which provides a green corridor for walking and cycling, and the M60 motorway to the south, marking a distinct boundary.

The local landscape is defined by several large parks and playing fields, including Walton Park and Brooklands Park, offering substantial recreational space. A notable local feature is the Sale Water Park, a large artificial lake and nature reserve created from former industrial workings, popular for watersports and birdwatching. The ward maintains a distinct, settled community atmosphere separate from the more commercial centres of Sale and Altrincham.
