Caddington

Caddington ward encompasses the villages of Caddington and Slip End, situated on the chalky Chiltern hills just outside the Luton urban area. The landscape is characterised by a mix of older residential housing, newer developments, and pockets of agricultural land. The area functions primarily as a commuter settlement, with many residents travelling to Luton, London, and other parts of Bedfordshire for work. Its elevated position provides open views across the surrounding countryside.

The community is served by local shops, primary schools, and public houses centred on the village high streets. A notable local feature is the network of historic drovers' roads and footpaths that crisscross the area, including parts of the Chiltern Way. These paths connect to areas of woodland and common land, such as Caddington Common, which offer recreational space. The M1 motorway runs along the western edge of the ward, underlining its transport links.
