Cannock South

Cannock South sits in the southern part of the town of Cannock, within the Cannock Chase district of Staffordshire. The area is largely residential, with a mix of terraced and semi-detached housing, small shopping parades and community facilities concentrated along main roads. Local schools, a leisure centre and parish halls serve day-to-day needs, while regular bus services link the neighbourhood to the town centre and surrounding settlements. Street patterns reflect incremental post-war development, with short runs of shops and social housing interspersed with allotments and small pockets of public green space.

The neighbourhood also bears marks of the Cannock Chase coalfield that once underpinned the local economy.
