Church Warsop & Meden Vale

Church Warsop and Meden Vale are located in the northwest of the Mansfield district, characterised by former mining landscapes and newer residential developments. The area includes the expansive Vicar Water Country Park, a reclaimed colliery site with lakes and woodland paths. Housing is primarily a mix of interwar and post-war estates, with local services concentrated along Warsop's main roads. The surrounding countryside transitions into farmland and the fringes of Sherwood Forest.

The area's history is defined by the coal industry, with the former Meden Vale colliery site now largely repurposed. The distinctive Warsop Vale viaduct, a prominent local landmark, crosses the River Meden. Community facilities include sports centres and schools, with the parish church of St Peter and St Paul anchoring the older part of Church Warsop. The Robin Hood Line railway provides a direct connection to Mansfield and Worksop.
