Clanfield

Clanfield ward lies within the East Hampshire district, characterised by its semi-rural setting on the western fringes of the Sussex Weald. The area is primarily residential, with neighbourhoods centred around the historic village core, which retains a traditional high street. Surrounding development consists largely of housing estates built from the latter half of the 20th century, blending into the agricultural landscape of small fields and woodland patches.

The geography is defined by its position on the southern slopes of the South Downs, offering elevated views towards the coast. A notable local landmark is the 16th-century Coach and Horses pub, one of the oldest buildings in the area. Much of the ward's open space is provided by the recreation ground and the nearby Butser Hill, which marks its northern boundary and is part of the South Downs National Park.
