Coxheath & Farleigh

Coxheath & Farleigh ward lies south of Maidstone town centre, characterised by residential neighbourhoods and significant green spaces. The area includes the large village of Coxheath, with its local shops and services, and the smaller settlement of Farleigh to the east. Housing is primarily a mix of detached and semi-detached homes, with some older properties near the village centres. The ward is bordered by the A229 to the west and agricultural land to the south, maintaining a semi-rural feel on its fringes.

The area is defined by its open land, including Coxheath Common, a large area of recreational ground used for sports and community events. Farleigh Lane connects the two settlements, passing through countryside. A notable local feature is the historic Farleigh Bridge, a small stone arch crossing a stream. The ward contains several schools and has direct road links into Maidstone, serving as a commuter base while retaining its own distinct village identities.
