Curran and Inver

Curran and Inver ward is situated along the eastern shoreline of Larne Lough. The area encompasses the residential districts of Curran and Inver, along with mixed agricultural and light industrial land. The physical landscape is defined by its proximity to the lough and the rising ground of the Antrim plateau to the west. The ward includes the older harbour settlement of Inver and extends into the modern housing developments of the Curran area.

A notable local feature is the narrow gauge railway of the Larne and Ballymena line, which runs through the ward. The area includes the Curran Business Park and is connected to the wider road network via the A8 corridor. The lough's edge here is characterised by mudflats and saltmarsh habitats, which are significant for local wildlife. The ward functions primarily as a residential and commuter area for Larne town centre.
