Derryboy

Derryboy ward is situated in the rural southern portion of the Newry, Mourne and Down District. The area is characterised by agricultural land and low-lying drumlins, with scattered farmsteads and small settlements. The landscape slopes gently towards the tidal reaches of the Quoile River to the northeast.

A network of narrow, hedged lanes connects the area. The ward includes the hamlet of Derryboy and edges the larger village of Crossgar. Historical features include several listed buildings and the preserved structure of Derryboy Church, a simple early 19th-century hall.
