Eaglestone & Fishermead

Eaglestone and Fishermead are neighbouring residential districts located directly east of Milton Keynes city centre. The area is characterised by a dense network of post-war housing, primarily consisting of terraced homes and low-rise apartment blocks. Its layout follows the city's grid road system, with numerous pedestrian paths and underpasses providing connectivity. The Grand Union Canal forms a significant green corridor along the southern edge of Fishermead, separating it from other estates.

The area includes several local convenience shops and community facilities centred around the main through roads. A notable feature is the Peace Pagoda, a large white Buddhist stupa situated on Willen Lake's northern shore, which lies just beyond the canal to the south. Large areas of open grassland and playing fields are integrated within the housing layouts. The districts are served by multiple bus routes connecting to Central Milton Keynes and the main railway station.
