Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet ward is a modern development area situated in the northern part of Dartford, adjacent to the River Thames. The landscape is characterised by large-scale construction projects and new residential neighbourhoods, with significant areas given over to business parks and transport infrastructure. The ward is a key part of the wider Ebbsfleet Valley regeneration, which is transforming former industrial and quarry lands into a new urban centre.

A major transport interchange, Ebbsfleet International railway station, provides high-speed services to London and the continent. The area includes the expansive Bluewater shopping centre to the south, which sits within a converted chalk quarry. Large artificial lakes and newly created parklands are being integrated into the developing urban fabric, shaping the environment alongside ongoing building work.
