Evendons

Evendons is a residential ward in the northern part of the Wokingham urban area, characterised by modern housing developments and established neighbourhoods. The area is primarily composed of family homes, with several local parks and green spaces integrated throughout. Its layout includes a network of quiet roads and cul-de-sacs, contributing to a settled atmosphere. The ward is bordered by major transport routes, including the A329 and railway lines, connecting it to wider Berkshire.

A notable local feature is the Evendons Primary School, which serves as a community hub. The area contains pockets of woodland and the natural corridor of the Emm Brook, which runs along its western edge. Residential life is supported by a small parade of shops and easy access to the larger facilities in central Wokingham. The ward's history is partially reflected in the preserved name of the historic Evendons Lane, which traces an older boundary.
