Haydon Wick

Haydon Wick is a civil parish and suburb immediately north of Swindon town centre, within the Borough of Swindon in Wiltshire. The area is largely residential, with neighbourhoods such as Haydon End and Haydon Wick itself, served by primary schools, local shops and community centres. Commercial and light industrial estates sit to the edges of the parish and the A419 corridor runs nearby, providing road links toward the M4 and into northern Wiltshire. Local governance is through Haydon Wick Parish Council, which works with borough services on planning and community matters.

Green corridors and playing fields shape much of the public space. The River Ray runs through the parish and is threaded by footpaths that local people use for walking and cycling; a sequence of small ponds and meadows created alongside recent developments is part of that network. Sports pitches, a bowls club and playgrounds provide regular activity, and bus routes connect residents with Swindon town centre and the railway station for longer journeys. Community events and parish meetings are a regular feature of local life.
