Haygate & Park

Haygate & Park ward lies in the eastern part of Telford, encompassing established residential neighbourhoods like Woodside and Priorslee. The area is characterised by a mix of housing, from post-war estates to more modern developments, alongside local shopping parades and community facilities. It is bordered by significant green corridors, including the large expanse of Telford Town Park to the north, which provides a substantial natural boundary and recreational space for residents.

The ward's landscape is defined by its proximity to the Haygate Road corridor and the presence of several smaller local parks and playing fields integrated within the housing areas. A notable feature is the historic Haygate Inn, a 17th-century coaching house that stands as a reminder of the area's pre-New Town history. The ward also contains parts of the Silkin Way pedestrian and cycle route, connecting it to wider Telford's network of green paths.
