Hollybush & Blurton North

Hollybush & Blurton North is a principally residential ward in the east of Stoke-on-Trent, made up of post-war and mid-century housing arranged around small local greens and playing fields. The area contains a community shopping parade, primary schools and a community centre that hosts regular clubs and services. Local bus routes provide direct links into Stoke city centre, and small trading estates on the ward’s edges supply light industry and everyday employment for residents.

The street pattern mixes through-routes with cul-de-sacs, and many houses retain original red-brick fronts and bay windows from the 1930s–1950s build phases. Pocket parks and sports pitches are scattered through the ward, and a long allotment site near the central residential area is used year-round by gardeners.
