About

Kimbolton, Great Staughton and Molesworth lie in the northwestern part of the historic county of Huntingdonshire. Kimbolton is centred on Kimbolton Castle, now occupied by Kimbolton School, and the castle grounds slope down to the River Kym. The castle is associated with the last months of Catherine of Aragon, who died there in 1536, and the park contains formal gardens and a cricket pitch used by the town. Streets of former market houses open onto a small high street with local services and village halls serving surrounding farms and hamlets.
Great Staughton sits a short distance west of Kimbolton around a village green and parish church, with a network of lanes and public footpaths connecting arable fields and wooded copses. Molesworth is notable for RAF Molesworth on the eastern side of the parish, a long‑standing airfield with military infrastructure alongside farmland. The three settlements share a rural pattern of small holdings, hedged boundaries and community facilities that anchor local life in Huntingdonshire.
