Kington

Kington ward encompasses the small market town of Kington itself, along with surrounding rural parishes and farmland on the English-Welsh border. The area is characterised by rolling hills and lies just off the A44, with the River Arrow flowing to the south. Its economy has traditionally been based on agriculture and local services for the farming community. The town's layout centres on a historic broad main street that slopes upwards from the old market cross.

The ward is notably the starting point for the Mortimer Trail, a long-distance footpath that heads south into the Marches countryside. Hergest Ridge, a prominent hill with common land and ancient trees, lies to the west, offering extensive views into both countries. The area includes the hamlets of Burlingjobb, Huntington, and Stanage. Local facilities are focused within the town, serving as a hub for the wider rural population in this part of north-west Herefordshire.
