About

Kirby-le-Soken is a coastal village on the Tendring peninsula, centred around its historic church and village green. The area includes the hamlet of Beaumont-cum-Moze and extensive agricultural land. The landscape is predominantly flat and open, characterised by farmland and coastal habitats.

The Hamford ward encompasses the waters and islands of the Hamford Water estuary itself, including the inhabited Skipper's Island and the protected Pewit Island.
