Ledbury

Ledbury is a market town in eastern Herefordshire, set where the Malvern Hills meet the fertile plain of the River Leadon. Its historic core is defined by narrow, cobbled lanes like Church Lane, famously flanked by timber-framed buildings that lean inwards overhead. The town's economy has long been centred on its weekly market and the trade of local agricultural produce, including hops and cider apples from the surrounding countryside.

The area is characterised by black and white timbered architecture, with the 17th-century Market House standing on its original wooden pillars in the town centre. Surrounding farmland includes numerous orchards and pastures. The Ledbury Poetry Festival, held annually, draws visitors and writers to the town, utilising many of its historic buildings as venues for readings and performances.
