Minworth

Minworth is an industrial and residential suburb situated northeast of Birmingham city centre, near the junction of the M6 and M42 motorways. The area is dominated by business parks, manufacturing units, and the large Severn Trent water treatment works, which processes much of the region's wastewater. Housing is primarily comprised of post-war estates and some newer developments, offering more affordable options within the borough of Sutton Coldfield.

The landscape is defined by the Tame Valley, with the River Tame and its associated canal network running through. Minworth is notably home to one of the UK's largest sewage treatment facilities, a significant local employer whose extensive site shapes the area's eastern boundary. Green spaces like Pype Hayes Park and the Tame Valley Canal towpath provide routes for walking and cycling amidst the industrial setting.
