Morecambe South West

The south-west part of Morecambe sits along Marine Road West and the adjacent promenade, where a seafront road meets rows of terraced housing and small local shops. Streets here step back from the shore into residential blocks with community facilities, primary schools and independent businesses serving daily needs. Public transport links run along the main road, and car parks give direct access to the coast for short visits and fishing outings.

The coastline opens onto Morecambe Bay; at low tide the sea retreats to reveal broad stretches of sand and mud used by wading birds and local anglers.
