North Wingfield and Pilsley are neighbouring settlements situated on the eastern fringes of the Peak District National Park. The area is characterised by a mix of residential development and open farmland, with a landscape that gradually rises towards the west. The settlements are connected by the B6039 road, with the River Rother flowing to the north.
