Old Moat

Old Moat is a residential area in south Manchester, characterised by a mix of interwar and post-war housing, primarily semi-detached and terraced homes. The ward is bordered by Princess Parkway to the west and contains several local parks, including the expansive grounds of the former Hough End Hall. Its street pattern is largely defined by the circular routes of the surrounding council estates, creating a distinct neighbourhood feel away from main thoroughfares.
