Otford and Shoreham

Otford and Shoreham ward encompasses a largely rural part of the Sevenoaks district, characterised by its position within the Darent Valley. The area includes the villages of Otford and Shoreham, which are separated by farmland and the River Darent. The landscape is defined by the North Downs, with the ward containing significant areas of woodland and chalk grassland. Agriculture and horticulture remain visible land uses alongside the settled communities.

A notable feature is the Shoreham Aircraft Museum, dedicated to local aviation history from the Second World War. The villages themselves contain historic buildings, including Otford's medieval palace ruins and Shoreham's old cottages. The Darent Valley Path runs through the ward, following the river and providing a clear recreational route. Transport links include the M25 and M26 motorways, which skirt the northern edge of the area.
