Pewsey Vale West

The Pewsey Vale West ward encompasses a collection of villages and hamlets set within the expansive chalk landscape of the Vale of Pewsey. The area is primarily agricultural, with large fields defined by hedgerows and scattered woodlands. Settlements like Milton Lilbourne, Wootton Rivers, and the northern part of Pewsey itself are focal points, characterised by traditional stone and brick buildings. The landform is gently rolling, with the prominent chalk downs of the Salisbury Plain Training Area forming its southern boundary.

A notable feature is the presence of the Kennet and Avon Canal, which traverses the ward, passing through the Bruce Tunnel south of Wootton Rivers. This historic waterway contributes to the area's network of footpaths and bridleways. The landscape is also marked by ancient sites, including the Adam's Grave long barrow on Walker's Hill, offering wide views across the valley.
