Sandford Hill

Sandford Hill is a residential ward situated in the southern part of Stoke-on-Trent, adjacent to the town of Longton. The area is primarily characterised by post-war housing, including a mix of semi-detached and terraced homes, with local amenities centred along Uttoxeter Road. Its landscape is relatively flat, typical of this section of the Potteries, with residential streets laid out in a regular grid pattern.

The ward is home to Sandford Hill Primary School and is bordered by the Dresden recreation ground to the north. A notable local feature is the presence of several former colliery sites, now reclaimed as green spaces, which subtly reflect the area's industrial past within the wider ceramic manufacturing history of the city. Public transport links provide connections to Longton and Stoke city centre.
