Snodland West & Holborough Lakes

Snodland West & Holborough Lakes ward is situated along the southern bank of the River Medway. The area includes the established residential streets of Snodland's western section and the modern development of Holborough Lakes, built on a former cement works site. Industrial heritage remains visible with the large cement kilns still standing near the river, a legacy of the area's manufacturing past.

The landscape is defined by the river corridor and the large, spring-fed lakes at its centre, created from former quarry workings. These lakes are now surrounded by newer housing and provide a focal point for the community. The ward functions largely as a residential area with local retail and services concentrated along the main roads, connecting it to the wider borough.
