Talbot

Talbot ward occupies the southern coastal stretch of Blackpool, directly bordering the Irish Sea. The area is anchored by the historic South Pier, which extends into the water and hosts various entertainment venues. The geography is largely defined by the Promenade, a wide pedestrian and road corridor running parallel to the extensive beach. This central thoroughfare connects the residential streets inland with the seafront amenities and green spaces.

Housing in the ward consists primarily of Victorian and Edwardian terraced properties, many of which operate as guest houses and small hotels. The area includes the southern end of Blackpool's famous Illuminations display along the Promenade. A notable local feature is the Solaris Centre, a public building focused on renewable energy and coastal ecology, situated near the shore.
