Tenbury Wells, Mamble & Clifton

Tenbury Wells sits on the north bank of the River Teme and acts as the local market hub for the surrounding Teme valley. The town grew around its wells and market square; a nineteenth-century cast-iron pump stands on Market Street and marks the long association with mineral springs. A low stone bridge and weir cross the Teme at the edge of town, and streets radiate from the market toward orchards and farm lanes that still shape the local economy.

Mamble and Clifton lie within easy reach, linked by minor roads and public footpaths that run along hedged fields and river meadows. Clifton’s village green and parish church serve a scattered farming parish, while Mamble retains a village centre with a mix of houses and working land. Local footpaths lead to riverside walks on the Teme and across fields of orchards and pasture, and small-scale farming, seasonal fruit picking and village events remain part of everyday life in the area.
