Tongham

Tongham sits at the southeastern edge of Guildford borough, immediately north of the Surrey–Hampshire border. The A331 Blackwater Valley Route runs close to the village and links with the A31, giving direct road access toward the M3 corridor. The settlement is arranged along a few main streets with a small parade of shops, a primary school and a village hall serving day-to-day needs. Light industrial and business units cluster near the road junctions, while residential streets extend toward quieter lanes and farmlands.

The Blackwater flows close by and influences the low-lying meadows and tree belts on Tongham’s edge, where allotments and a recreation ground provide open space. Local services are modest and oriented to residents; regular bus routes connect to Farnham and Aldershot and the nearest mainline stations are short drives away. Community activity often centres on the hall, sports pitches and pubs, and the mix of homes, workshops and green strips gives Tongham a village-scale feel framed by the transport corridor that defines its eastern boundary.
