West Moors & Three Legged Cross

West Moors & Three Legged Cross is a largely residential ward situated in east Dorset, characterised by its mixture of housing estates and areas of woodland. The settlement of West Moors serves as the main centre, with local shops and amenities clustered along Station Road. The landscape is generally flat, with the ward lying on the fringes of the Dorset Heaths, influencing the surrounding greenery and pockets of heathland.

A notable local feature is the preserved section of the Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway line, now a quiet footpath. The ward includes the separate, smaller village of Three Legged Cross to the northeast, which retains a more rural feel with open fields. The area is primarily defined by its commuter function, with good road links to the larger towns of Ferndown, Wimborne Minster, and the conurbation of Bournemouth and Poole to the south.
