West Town & Woodston

West Town sits immediately west of Peterborough city centre. The area is a mix of Victorian terraces and post-war housing, with local shopping parades and social clubs on its main roads. A community centre runs activities for all ages and several primary schools serve the neighbourhood. Small parks and playgrounds are dotted through the streets, and most residents reach the centre and station by a short walk or frequent bus. Woodston lies south of the River Nene and retains traces of its former village core.
