Weston-super-Mare South

Weston-super-Mare South ward encompasses the town's southern residential neighbourhoods and a significant stretch of coastline. The area includes the large, sweeping sands of Weston Bay, directly facing the Bristol Channel. Inland, the ward is characterised by Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, with grid-like street patterns extending southward from the town centre. The seafront is dominated by the Grand Pier, a major landmark with its pavilion at the seaward end. The tidal range here is extreme, revealing vast mudflats at low tide. Residential streets lead towards Worlebury Hill, providing elevated views over the town and sea.
