Wickford Park

Wickford Park is a residential ward located in the northern part of the town of Basildon. The area is primarily characterised by housing estates built in the mid-20th century, featuring a mix of semi-detached and terraced homes. Its boundaries are largely defined by major roads, including the A129 to the west. The ward contains several local schools and playing fields, serving the everyday needs of its community. A central feature of the ward is the King George V playing fields, a large open green space used for recreation and sports. Local shopping facilities are concentrated along the Broadway and at the nearby Wickford town centre, which lies just outside the ward boundary.
