Wolverton

Wolverton ward sits in the northern part of Milton Keynes, centred on the historic railway town of Wolverton. The area is defined by its dense Victorian terraced housing, built for railway workers, and the prominent red-brick industrial architecture of the former Wolverton Works. The Grand Union Canal runs along its western edge, with a towpath providing a green corridor. The area functions as a local urban centre with independent shops and services concentrated along Stratford Road and Church Street.

The district retains a strong industrial heritage and community identity separate from the newer grid squares of Milton Keynes. The modern Wolverton Mill development, with its apartments and supermarket, contrasts with the older town centre. The area is served by its own railway station on the West Coast Main Line. A large, active community garden is cultivated on the site of old railway allotments near the canal, reflecting the area's practical and self-sufficient character.
