Woolmer Green, Oaklands & Digswell

Woolmer Green, Oaklands and Digswell lie on the northern edge of Welwyn Garden City within Welwyn Hatfield. The A1000 runs through Woolmer Green as the old north–south route into Hertfordshire, and Welwyn North railway station sits in Digswell on the East Coast Main Line. The railway passes over the long brick viaduct spanning the Mimram valley, a local landmark that shapes the slopes and footpaths below. Oaklands sits between the other two settlements, linked by minor roads and public paths that lead into surrounding farmland.
