Wroxall, Lowtherville & Bonchurch

The Wroxall, Lowtherville & Bonchurch ward encompasses a stretch of the Isle of Wight's south-eastern coastline and its immediate rural hinterland. The area includes the historic village of Bonchurch, with its old church and pond, set below the steep coastal slopes of St. Boniface Down. Inland, the settlement of Wroxall lies in a valley, functioning as a local service centre. The terrain is characterised by chalk downland and wooded chines leading to the sea.

This ward contains the highest point on the Isle of Wight at the summit of St. Boniface Down. The landscape transitions from agricultural land and smallholdings to the coastal fringe, where the Undercliff, a unique area of landslip terrain, begins to the west. The coastal path traverses the cliffs, offering expansive views across the English Channel. Residential areas are mixed with farmland and areas of protected downland.
